Who We Are
Cornerbrook Construction Inc. is a Toronto-based residential builder specializing in medium and large-scale homes and renovations throughout the Greater Toronto Area. Founded in 2007 by lifelong friends Jake McCombs and Jeff Temporale, the company was built on a straightforward idea: do exceptional work, treat every project as if it were your own, and let the results carry the rest.
Nearly twenty years on, that approach hasn't changed. We remain a deliberately small, hands-on firm — close enough to every project to hold it to the standard our name depends on.
Our Approach
Since our very first project, the vast majority of our work has come by referral — one homeowner introducing us to the next. We have never taken that for granted. It is the clearest measure we have that we are doing the job right.
To protect that standard, we take on only a limited number of projects each year. It is a deliberate choice. It means every client receives the attention, craftsmanship, and oversight their home deserves — and it is the reason our clients keep sending us to the people they care about.
We don't advertise and we don't overextend. We simply build well, and let our completed projects — and the people who live in them — do the talking.

The Founders
Jake McCombs and Jeff Temporale were friends long before Cornerbrook existed. In 2007, they decided to put their names behind something of their own.
Starting with two trucks and a shared commitment to doing things properly, they built the company one project — and one referral — at a time. That partnership still runs the business today, with both founders personally involved in the work that carries their name.
